Going through redundancy can be a very stressful time.
When my role became redundant, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next.
If you feel unsure about the path to take in your next career move I’m writing this to let you know that you don’t have to choose just one thing. You can create several different strands to you career.
There are many different ways to work. You can be an employee of a business or you can create your own business.
You can create a company and become a director, you can create a partnership or you can be a sole trader.
For example, if you’re thinking starting a new business but you’re not sure if it will work out you can take a job as an employee for some of the time while you dip your toe into the water of being self-employed. In other words, you can create a portfolio career.
During times of uncertainty this could be a good option if you don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket.
If you need support during redundancy, I’ve created an online course to provide help and support. It’s more than an online course – it’s a guided learning journey with support from me every step of the way.
If you’d like to use redundancy as a catalyst for change take a look at Thrive after Redundancy.
I’d love to help.
